At Creative Minds Taunton, we create welcoming, trauma-aware and neuroaffirming spaces where children, young people, and adults can connect, learn, create, and grow.

Our flagship project, No Girl Left Behind, supports girls aged 11-18 through creativity, connection, play, and shared experiences, helping them build friendships, confidence, communication skills, and a sense of belonging. The same ethos underpins all of our work, from youth projects and community workshops to CPD, training, and consultancy.

Drawing on an understanding of how the brain and nervous system learn and respond, our activities support nervous system regulation and wellbeing, helping people feel safe enough to learn, explore, communicate, express themselves, and thrive. We believe that when people feel connected, valued, and included, they are better able to engage, participate, develop skills, and reach their potential.

At Creative Minds, we bring together lived experience, research, and practical learning to explore the powerful links between creativity, connection, expression, play, wellbeing, and learning.

Through hands-on activities and shared experiences, we help people understand how creativity and connection influence the nervous system, support emotional wellbeing, strengthen communication, develop relationships, and enhance learning. Our workshops and training sessions encourage curiosity, reflection, and meaningful participation while creating opportunities for people to connect with themselves and others.

Our Story

Founded by Susannah Eggar, Creative Minds is inspired by her personal journey and years of experience supporting creativity, connection, self-expression, and inclusion.

Drawing on both lived and learnt experience, Susannah believes deeply in the transformative power of creativity, community, voice, and play, and in their ability to help people build confidence, develop meaningful relationships, discover their strengths, and create positive change in their lives and communities.

We are committed to continual learning and improvement, striving to create welcoming and accessible environments where everyone can feel valued, supported, and able to participate in ways that work for them.
