About me
Hello, I’m Susannah Eggar,

I hold a degree in psychology and am a qualified teacher with over 20 years of experience in education. Throughout my career, I have specialised in making education accessible to children and young people, ensuring that every individual has the opportunity to thrive.

A Passion for Creativity, inclusion and Connection
I’ve had the joy of running a theatre workshop company for young people in London, where I combined my passion for amplifying young voices, fostering creativity, and building meaningful connections. Currently, I am proud to be part of Somerset Youth Theatre, where I lead drama sessions and contribute to developing their practice in neuroaffirming, inclusive spaces.
Alongside this, I work with adults in creative contexts through collaborations with organisations such as SARSAS (Somerset & Avon Rape and Sexual Abuse Support), Somerset Recovery College, and Viv Gordon Company. These experiences have deepened my commitment to using creative practice as a tool for connection, empowerment, and storytelling—holding space for voices that deserve to be heard in full colour and clarity.
As a mum of four, I understand first-hand the importance of creating environments where every voice matters—spaces where children, young people and adults alike feel safe, supported, and free to explore their creativity

Lived and Learnt Experience
I am autistic and have associated tics. I am a survivor of CSA.I bring both lived and learnt experience to my work. Over the past five years, I’ve worked alongside young people and adults who have survived sexual abuse trauma.
My mission is to create safer spaces where everyone feels included, connected, and heard—embracing creativity and play to support mental health, learning, and accessibility.

Building Inclusive Communities Filled with Joy
More than anything, I believe in fostering inclusive environments where people feel seen, heard, and valued. My goal is to build communities that are not only supportive but also filled with joy, fun, and opportunities to share knowledge, voices, and learning.
